Valerie J. M. Brader

CEO

Valerie Brader spends most of her time helping clients meet their goals during the ongoing energy transition. Known as a change agent in the public and private sectors, Brader previously served as in Michigan’s cabinet member for energy issues, where she negotiated agreements and laws that successfully balanced affordability, reliability, and environmental goals.  A Rhodes Scholar and published author in both the legal and scientific presses, Brader has degrees from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges, Oxford University, and Georgetown University Law School, and has taught energy law at the University of Michigan.  In addition to giving legislative testimony at the federal and state levels, she is noted for her ability to give speeches about energy policy without putting her audience to sleep.  

Katy T. Dobrowitsky

Founder

Katy (Catherine) Dobrowitsky spends most of her time as a lawyer helping clients align and achieve their business goals using intellectual property solutions on a global scale.  Her work has been featured in training materials presented by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.  Her testimony before the Michigan Senate led to that body’s unanimous support for her recommended change to modernize Michigan trademark law.  As a consultant, she brings her communication skills to bear to improve public policy on intellectual property issues, lobbying for changes that improve the ability of entities large and small to establish and protect their brands as technology evolves to create both new products and new IP challenges.
